I Saw Them In Her Eyes by Sholio
Rating: PG
Warnings: Spoilers from episodes 3 and 15, slightly different spelling than the anime uses
Comments: Ever wondered what went through Roy's mind when he entered the house of the Rockbells? This is your chance to find out. This short fanfiction has captured Roy's thoughts in an excellent way. Recommended to everyone, especially the Roy-fans!
To Never Say Goodbye by Lyris
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Roy/Edward, fanfiction takes place right after episode 15
Comments: A true recommendation to all the Roy/Ed lovers, but I fear anyone else will not appreciate the fanfiction. It's still not bad for a beginning of what promises to be a long fanfiction. There are two chapters so far and it's still in progress, so check from time to time if there are any new chapters.
Chapter One
Chapter Two
One Step Closer by Suppi-chan
Rating: G
Warnings: None.
Comments: A rather refreshing fanfiction, written from Ed's POV and the conscience of Mustang POV. It's all about observations, and those observations give the reader a new insight on the small, short-tempered State Alchemist. Absolutely recommended!
It Had to Happen Sometime by Fuji S
Rating: PG-13
Warnings:</i> Edward/Alphonse
Comments: Apart from the lack of punctuation, this fanfiction is not bad. It's a sweet story, containing the question most children have at some point in their lives - only Alphonse get it a bit later. Edward's explanation might be the best of all.
Once Upon A Blue Moon by Fuji S
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Edward/Alphonse
Comments: Another Elric-cest fanfiction, written by the same author of "It Had To Happen Sometime". Fans of Elric-cest will probably find this to their liking, though the rest will have some difficulty with it.
And So It Remains by WhiteCat2
Rating: G
Warnings: Based upon episode 3, includes several spoilers from that episode
Comments: An astonishingly well-written fanfiction, describing the whole event of episode 3 from Trisha's POV. It's easy to follow once you've seen the episode and the Elric brothers are so innocent and sweet, you just have to love it all.
The Alchemist's Love by DeadMeat
Rating: R
Warnings: There is a pairing here, but telling that would spoil all the fun, story takes place in the future and the rating should say enough about what is going on in the fic. No yaoi or anything like that, though.
Comments: This author is truly gifted with the way of words. Only at the last instance, the names of the two characters are revealed, although some hints are given in the rest of the fanfiction. The love of an alchemist has its hardships, as you will discover in the fanfiction. Highly recommended to everyone!!!
Kienai Kanashimi, Kesenai Kioku by Miya wada
Rating: G
Warnings: Roy/Edward
Comments: There are no words to describe this fanfiction. It’s an excellent one, painting the world in your mind, letting you feel the emotions and atmosphere of the whole picture. Just one warning: don’t read this if you’re already depressed. Recommended to everyone, since the Roy/Edward is only very slight here.
Suspense
Faustus by Majokai Yukiko
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Envy/Wrath
Comments: A short, yet sweet fanfiction, focusing on Envy and Wrath. Envy, of course, is his sadistic, cruel self, who adores to bug the youngest Homonculus. One would almost feel sorry for Wrath, being chained up in one room with this shapeshifting psycho… A good fanfiction, although it’s a pity it’s such a short one.
Soon by Ryo Hoshi
Rating: PG
Warnings: None.
Comments: A manga-based fanfic with – according to the author – no timeline at all. It’s clear that the author had some trouble at a few points, but in general, it’s a fascinating fanfiction. Ed has had an accident again, and it turned out to be a bit more serious than it had always been before… More chapters ought to come later!

NEW WAYS TO TALK ABOUT CHILDREN
by Kathie Spitzley
Bobby is so hyper. He is all over the place. Its no wonder I cant teach him anything!
How many times have you heard teachers or associates making negative comments about children or other adults? They seem to infer that by describing the child it should be obvious why the situation would seem unworkable. Sometimes a childs qualities are only a problem because we chose to see them that way. In fact, what seems to be Bobbys problem is often Bob

How to write a Fanfiction
How to Make a Good Fanfiction
By Sithking Zero
So, you want to write a fanfiction, right? Yeah, you and every other anime fan in the world.
But, I sympathize; I too am a fanfic writer. I have been around the block, I know how it feels. To think of how the show could be better, to imagine a new love between those who most deserve it, to add that splash of chaos and destruction to counter the beauty and peace of it all. Ah, the feeling; nothing in the world is quite like it.
But I digress. What I am putting down here is as much a set of guidelines, as much of a prevention. I don't want to go onto FF.net, and see this:

Angst/Suspense gallery
The fanfictions you will find here can be all put under the genres angst and suspense. The main character is often left in doubt or tries to find answers to certain questions. There is a lot of uncertainty, misunderstandings between characters and arguments. Bear in mind that all the fanfictions will come from other sites and communities. Last of all, if it's possible, leave a comment behind for the author in which you tell whether you liked it or not and even what could be better. Feel free to discuss several fanfictions here.
Update: two fanfictions has been added to the Suspense gallery.
